Machine Gun Kelly threw shade at Slipknot during his performance at Riot Festival in Chicago last night (19th September).

The 31-year-old rapper and actor was headlining the Radical Stage at Riot Fest at the exact same time Slipknot were topping the bill on the main Riot Stage yesterday evening when he mocked Corey Taylor and co.

Addressing the Radical Stage audience, Machine Gun Kelly said: “Hey, you wanna know what I’m really happy that I’m not doing? Being 50 years old and wearing a f---ing weird mask on a f---ing stage. F---ing s---.”

Quickly changing the subject as different sections of the crowd booed and cheered, Kelly then added: “So, what’s everyone’s favourite candy? Reese’s Pieces?”

During an appearance on Cutter's Rockcast back in February, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor appeared to poke fun at Machine Gun Kelly.

Seemingly referencing Machine Gun Kelly’s shift from hip-hop to rock music, a self-deprecating Corey said: “I'm the worst old fogey dude shaking his cane ever. And I hate everything.

“I hate all new rock for the most part. I (hate) the artists who failed in one genre and decided to go rock — and I think he knows who he is. But that's another story.”

Slipknot’s current tour dates in North America have seen the debut of Corey Taylor’s fearsome new mask.
